LIST OF MAJOR TYPES OF LEAD
Summary lead: this allow you bring as many of the five Ws as possible in the lead, most important when writing a story with multiple element
Contrast lead: this lead puts together two events in order to bring out their striking contraposition thereby providing readers with a stinker.
Descriptive lead: this describe a s story more in the first paragraph, it is more or less line descriptive essay in essay writing
Question lead: it is a lead that activates the intellect or contest the reader’s thinking faculty. This is occasionally used by proficient writers. It helps break the monotony of the conventional summary lead.
Blind Lead: this is a variation of the summary lead allowing the reporter to write his or her story without putting much details in the lead. Limited summary appears in the first paragraph and details in the second paragraph. Most people called this lead delayed lead
EXAMPLE OF A LEAD
