Ø  You must love writing and reading: This simply means you should find pleasure in reading and writing,  write everyday,  read news on television to keep you abreast with current events and be devoted to literature and meeting people. But if you do not enjoy any of these, I tell you, you are in the wrong profession.
Ø  you must keep a journal or a diary in daily events: for you to practice your writing and reading skills you should have to dairy in everyday event. It does not matter what you write or read about when you are starting. It will help you get into a habit of writing and reading everyday
Ø  you must old your camera always: in contemporary practice of journalism,  journalist try to have more skills.  Journalists always take pictures to their articles to make their article more interesting  and authentic
Ø  you must be ready to meet new people: every good journalist is not afraid to ask questions,  neither should they be afraid of meeting and talking to different people even strangers. Journalist are very bold and confident in meeting people.
Ø  You must hold pen or pencil at all time: this means get the story down on paper befor you forget it, you never know when a news-worthy story will come up. It will help you  jot something down, it could be the best story of the century
Ø  You must build your vocabulary: have a good dictionary and thesaurus, a comprehensive vocalbulary can help bring your stories and poems to life, check  your dictionary to be sure of your words usage
Ø  Always refer to past related stories:  make sure that your stories are backed up with good and appropriate reference, do not tell lies, you should be objective and for you to be successful you need to say the truth.
